Happy Christmas to you

Dear Lovely Blog Readers,
Good news: you can have a short rest from me! I am taking a break. I've got family coming for Christmas, much entertaining to do, a husband and daughters to love, friends to cook for, and a self that also needs a little bit of care and relaxation. I then have a daughter who is going to South Africa on January 5th, for a few months with a documentary film-making company, and I don't want to be blogging when I could be nagging  supporting her. (I also need to watch her make a trailer for Write a Great Synopsis, to match the brilliance of her one for Mondays are Red.)

I will be back in action on Monday January 9th, and I'll be preparing to publish Write a Great Synopsis a week or so later. To whet your appetite, I'll tell you that I've had phenomenal response from the writers who've seen it. Carole Blake, literary agent par excellence, has called it "pure gold."

Meanwhile,
Dear Lovely Blog Readers
Wishing you all a very relaxing
and reviving holiday
and a 2012 which brings
at least as much success
as you deserve

(Those were pics from last winter - I'm hoping we will get nothing like that this year.)
Keep safe, nurture your muses and look after your loved ones.

Happy Christmas
With very best wishes,
Crabbit xx

Thank you, all. I really really do wish you the best possible Christmas. I love Christmas and it makes me very uncrabbity! But I know some people have a tough time and I'm extra aware of that this year as some close friends had a terrible tragedy only three weeks ago, which I'm thinking about a lot. I haven't spoken about it because it's their private grief, but I'm thinking about them and worrying about them.

Most of all I wish everyone a positive 2012.

Oooh! I'm a huge fan of Carole and her Twitter wisdom (not to mention the wonderful From 'Pitch to Publication') so this book just went from a 'must-buy' to an 'I NEED IT NOW'. Looking forward to buying it!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Nicola.

What a relief! I mean, how will I cope?
Come back soon.
(Does this mean you won't notice what I get up to behind your back?)

Merry Christmas, Nicola. I've enjoyed your blog and no-nonsense advice this year (when I sent you a piece for the guest crabbit-slot, you told me in no uncertain terms what was wrong with it! And that's just what I needed! Thank you). I too have friends going through a very rough time this Christmas, so I appreciate what you're saying. It's not a great time for everyone.
Look forward to reading more from you in the New Year. Enjoy the break. Helen
